November 11, 2013 - One of my house favourites and still going strong (end of my 3rd case). This really is like a sweeter white Tondonia. Doesn't have the richness of a white CDP but is far better with most food.

A nose of almonds and slight botrytis, but all the fireworks are in the mouth. Initial pineapple gives way to mango and finally vivid dried apricot, with the sweet entry becoming drier in the mouth. Love the lingering and slightly saline then marmalade finish. Marked acidity to keep the wine fresh. Absolutely no hurry to drink up, this will last another 10yrs, many of my bottles are left lying around all day and still taste great.

One of my favourite QPRs in all of Italy, and one of the most consistent wines in my cellar to serve with food. Just remember to give it plenty of air if opening now...

From left-over wine from previous weeks burrata starter, stored in fridge using my usual plastic bottle method. Gorgeous tonight with a fresh coconut, coriander and tamarind pork collar butt Sri Lankan curry.

    September 2, 2013 - BBR informal dinner
Fantastic nose. Deep colour. Lemon, Lime, some apricot and a nutty flavour (spent a long time on lees). This divides opinion but I love it, so did most of the table.

August 20, 2013 - Consistent notes, more pineapple this time though. Will probably last longer than I had expected before.

August 1, 2013 - Giallo oro intenso. Naso complesso di frutta matura, anice, miele. In bocca รจ sapido e di grande morbidezza, con l"alcol un po sopra le ricghe Finale molto lungo, classico, di mandorla fresca e pompelmo

May 4, 2013 - The alcohol has finally integrated and it's drinking time! Full bodied, medium-sweet with apricot, lychee and jasmine on the rich palate. Medium length. Wonderful touch of sweetness. Like a sweeter Tondonia. Superb with Parma ham and pastas. Drink to 2016.
