July 21, 2011 - Pungent nose of lavender, dill, and slight cedar, promising slight vanilla marshmallow along with brambly ripe fruit. The mouth is clean with vibrant acidity and herbal tea notes, balanced by the fruit that was obvious from the nose. The finish is medium-long and slightly smokey with a hint licorice. The wine does seem to be integrated at this point and could age for several more years.

March 29, 2009 - Nose - restrained, ollalieberry, touches of clove and resin.
Dense black and rhubarb fruit, earthy, some zest, mushroom, white pepper, sage, rosemary, rose hips. Seems muddled. This may come together with time, but I'm not holding my breath. 85++ pts
