March 24, 2021 - Cellared since release, this was the screw capped version. Perfect fill. Dark red with a little lightening at therim. Cherry, cassis, strawberry, on the nose. Medium body, good balance, some earthy complexity, fresh fruit, tannins mellow and well-integrated, medium-long finish. This screw-capped wine showed it can develop with age. This is drinking really well now and will likely do so for another decade or more.

April 30, 2020 - Cellared since release, cork stained 1/4 of the way up, perfect fill. Dark red core, lightening but no bricking at rim. Cherry, cassis, strawberry, touch of alcoholic heat on the nose. Medium body, good balance, a bit of earthy complexity, grainy tannins, medium-long finish. No signs of going over the hill any time soon. Excellent.

June 1, 2017 - Cork bottle. Purchased at winery. Much better than screw bottle. Youthful great deep color and fruit. Very pleasant surprise!!

December 31, 2013 - Cork Closure. Pop and poured. A little hot from the start with medium tannins. Strawberry, Cherry and Tobacco with a nice finish. Opened up a little but not super complex. Nice showing nonetheless.

November 19, 2013 - definitely not my favorite - a lot of green pepper notes.

October 13, 2013 - Cork closure. A WOW wine, with explosive aromas and flavors. Quite a mouthful, with 14.7% alcohol. The medium (++) tannins indicate it may still have quite a few years left.

April 7, 2012 - Two bottles with cork and screwcap, respectively. Mature, medium bodied red fruits and earthy tones. Cedar. Well balanced, with integrated fine tannins. Very similar, with the screw cap bottle notably fresher.

September 24, 2011 - Screwcap bottle. Old world style. Tannins well integrated. Good fruit and balance and at its peak.

April 21, 2007 - Stelvin closure. Softer, rounded nose. Cassis and strawberry with a hint of winter spice. Somewhat tight, with sharp cherry and bright berry, with a hint of blackberry. Shut down after a while and never came back.

April 21, 2007 - Cork closure. Seemed to be flawed. Nose showed a hint of vinegar and something like TCA (although this component disappeared leaving me to believe it wasn't TCA), and maybe some oxidation. On the palate it showed red fruit and some orange peel, but was thin and somewhat diluted. Not much of a finish.
