August 23, 2020 - Well the nose was amazing with lots of complexity wafting from the glass. Sous-bois, raspberries, forest notes, hint of menthol. Very nice. On taste - wow we need 10 more years for the tannins to resolve. Good concentration of fruit and a long finish. The tannins though are still in force. Needs lots of time. I think I may be gone by the time these puppies are ready.

March 31, 2020 - Consistent with my 2019 notes. This is still awfully young, primary and firm wine. After four hours in the decanter it opened up and developed some flesh and nuance. Needs another 5-10 years.

March 28, 2020 - Not a particularly deep colour; quite perfumed, with raspberry/redcurrant/ damson fruit, quite concentrated and with good balance and length. Tasting mature, but still with plenty of life.

January 17, 2020 - This was a disappointment given my prior experience with this wine. There didn't appear to be anything wrong with the bottle, although the cork broke when I opened it, there was only wine stain on the bottom so no leaking or undue ingress. The wine seemed tired and maybe a bit dilute. The aromas and flavors were in between earlier fruit and later dried fruit and sous-bois. There was a kind of soy note over the top of everything that I didn't love. A strange showing and really unlike other bottles. I'm torn whether to open up another bottle sometime soon to see what's up.

January 1, 2020 - Not corked enough to be undrinkable, but enough to be disappointing.
