January 21, 2022 - Long double blind wine tasting dinner. Short notes from memory. Same bottle as Collector. Bottle with slow ox I understood. I was convinced this was a SuperTuscan, especially the nose seemed to scream Tuscany. On the palate this was a bit angular with elevated acidity so was thinking this was Cab with a bit Sangiovese. This needs more time to mellow. Guessed Alceo...

January 21, 2022 - During a blind tasting dinner. Dark ruby purple hue. Very dense and closed despite a 5h decant. The group was guessing Super Tuscan, something like Alceo. One can see the coolness of the vintage. Will this ever be a great Les Forts or is it too cool, given the 2008 vintage. time will tell. Best after 2028. 88-92 pts range

December 25, 2021 - Need breathing. Not big tannins but improve in the bottle over time. Classic well balanced pauilac
