June 11, 2022 - Chez Aude et François
Nez solaire. Bouche séveuse et profonde, un vin fougueux et savoureux. Je suis scotché au dévoilement. Très bon. 91-92
September 29, 2020 - Came off as muted. A nice soil aroma. but a little lean. Lacked some acidity too. I don't see it getting better.
September 8, 2020 - Much improved six years on. Raspberry and leather nose. Yum.
February 26, 2019 - Monthly Men's Wine Dinner (Purple Cafe, Bellevue, WA): Pop and pour. This Burgundy evolved beautifully over the evening although it took a couple hours for the nose to open up its characteristic Burgundian scent of rose and light tobacco. It had a light, balanced body with some sweet and sour fruit and sherry. This was a very close #4 of 5 for me and tied for #2 of the group.
December 2, 2016 - Nice, with a bit of spice and red fruit, but overall a bit underwhelming.
May 28, 2016 - This drank very well on PnP and for hours. Really enticing right now, it has red fruits, a touch of stem and smoke, and musky wilderness. It kept drawing me back. Really lovely right now and a perfect match with grilled rack of lamb.
March 31, 2016 - Mostly dirt on the nose, pierced by a thin red fruit note. Taste was all red fruits, dirt, some light bitterness. This bottle was solidly mature, tannins pretty well integrated, good mouth-watering acidity. Based upon this bottle, I wouldnt let them sit too much longer. Great QPR at high $20s on release.
March 14, 2015 - First night quite closed or maybe it's me recovering from a cold? Much better on the second night, very earthy with a strong ashy mineral note. Certainly much better with food. A touch of heat on the back end. I'd give it the benefit of the doubt and say that it needs more time.
November 27, 2014 - Agree with BurgAndy. Either disjointed, needing time, or seriously flawed. Will wait a few years. Fortunately, only 1 left.
November 17, 2014 - Last tasted about a year ago. Piney, stemmy, red fruit nose. Medicinal dark red fruit, some clumsy wood, unripe stems. Lean, '04-esque tonight. Hold and let this one further integrate. In an awkward phase.
