September 20, 2017 - Medium ruby colored; slightly confected sweet nose with citrus orange tones; a bit angular with modest fruit palate; did not shine in this group of Chapelles. Struck me as not having traveled well or needing a bit more time.

June 24, 2017 - Open-knit and ready to play. Plenty of smoke to the aroma along with red and black fruits, cured meats, dried flowers and sweet earth. It is generous and plump in the mouth with some underlying muscle. It builds through the palate and is quite savoury on the finish.

January 8, 2016 - Dinner at Ripple (Ripple - Cleveland Park, Washington, D.C.): Found this to be completely delicious. Aromas of some toasty notes, some cherries, a bit of dark fruit, brambles, florals, and minerals. Loved the airiness of the palate and I was just thrilled by how delicious and open this was.

October 17, 2015 - The 2007 Tremblay Chapelle Chambertin is not quite as forward and friendly as some wines from this vintage, and ideally needs a few more years to resolve a certain steminess on the palate, but it is a very attractive, red-fruited rendition of this grand cru, built around a firm core of fruit and acidity.

May 17, 2014 - Dinner in Burgundy (Beaune (multiple locations)): I rarely drink young Chapelle-Chambertin , particularly when we will have to pop-and-pour, but this proved me wrong tonight. Red berries throughout with incredible freshness. Concentration that didn't show weight and dominating structure, this was fun and accessible from the start.
