May 11, 2014 - Dark ruby, nose of Italian plums. Dry, fruity with an acid under currant. Nice on the PnP, tart with some stemmy tannins, medium body and fruit, nice mid palete. While not AFWE, this is a good compromise, bridging the styles with some but not too much fruit, soft velvety mouth feel. Drinking well. If you want an acid driven taste of the earth, this is not for you, but will please those who like a more fruity, soft, floral version of the grape. A bit jammy tonight, a good party wine. Drink on the PnP. Blended with a P Meunier to get some acid back in.

November 2, 2013 - Might have expected this to go off of a cliff, but it hasn't. Drinks much like it did in 2009, in fact. Day 1: big, dark, heat noticeable. Day 2: much better (not that day 1 was terrible) -- really smooths out and the heat really dies down. Gives some hope for another 2-3 years on this.....

July 7, 2012 - He's at 90, she's closer to 88 on a score. Red fruits on the nose, not a big nose but pleasant. Flavors of red fruit and lots of cherry, medium body, medium long finish. Improved after a little swirling and an hour and half later it is still improving. Fruits are more prominent and wine seems more balanced.
