April 18, 2020 - Still drinking very well! Drank our first bottle 4 years ago. Still has a lot of fruit flavor. Tannins are soft. Long finish. Great food wine.

December 26, 2016 - Wonderful deep brooding hue, dark berry and Forest notes with hints of crushed leaves for freshness, solid body and finish, drinking very well still, but at peak now. Loved it

September 4, 2016 - Agree with previous note that his should be drunk now. Fruit is fading, and an open bottle deteriorates within 1-2 hours.

Still an earthy, complex concoction with a rich nose, and paired beautifully with an array of southern Spanish tapas.

July 26, 2016 - Very good! There was still a lot of fruit in this 9 year old wine. Tannins were soft and it had a bit of smokiness. Paired well with grilled chicken and vegetables.

December 20, 2015 - Very aromatic, plums, spices, and blackberry reduction aromas explode from the bottle. Very dark and dense, full of plums and black/dark berries. Has nice complicating cedar and tobacco flavors to finish it off. Nice Priorat!

June 7, 2014 - I think this is hitting its peak, big savory hoisin notes, on the nose, the palate is elegant big fruity red fruit, but with 2hrs of open time kinda of falls apart and becomes more boozy and alcohol nose

Conc: Good but needs to be drunk right away

January 1, 2014 - Opening up quite nicely and entering it's drinking window. A few minutes of breathing helps, but ok to pour and drink.

Inky purple/black in the glass. Subdued on the nose, but complex on the palate. Fresh fruit (cherries?) balanced with smoke and leather. Paired well with red beans and rice, as it has enough weight to stand up to those flavors.

January 15, 2013 - Color: Opaque purple. Nose: Precise, concentrated dark red fruits with a smokey nuance. Palate: Again, precise and conentrated. Round relatively seamless dark red fruits- cherries, strawberries, raspberries with impressive minerality and a solid note of sandalwood. Enjoyed the wine at a restaurant over the course of about 90 minutes. The wine was decanted. It did seem to open considerably over the time that we were enjoying it. I was very impressed at this price point (70 in the restaurant and looks like I can get it for 32 at my local wine store). I have little experience with priorats because I am put off by high prices. I look forward to exploring this area more.

September 23, 2011 - Subtle in its mediocrity, this wine has no flaws, but no character, either. It's almost as though Terra de Verema wanted to eliminate any hint of varietal or region, resulting in something that tastes like a mid-range Australian GSM. Thankfully, there are many better Priorats out there.
