February 12, 2023 - Beautiful tawny color. Aromas of walnut, wood, caramel, maple syrup. On the palate: dark chocolate, s'mores, molasses. Such a unique wine as black monukka is traditionally a table grape.

July 31, 2020 - We will miss you. We’ve had this non vintage bottle of port for several years. The prices have gone up at this winery quite a bit so not sure if we will be buying more but this is some really good port!

May 22, 2018 - This is so unique. Some tawny port, some vin santo, some Australian sticky. Has a pretty strong coffee/caramel flavor on the palate. A really interesting, very good dessert wine.

January 3, 2017 - Amber in the glass, drinking very well after a few years in the cellar, palate is complex with dried fruits, fig, caramel, black walnut nuttiness, notes of agave nectar leading to a satisfying medium long finish. Very nice.

February 8, 2014 - Beautiful amber color in the glass, caramel on the nose. Delicious notes of fig, caramel, hazelnut and notes of pure Canadian maple syrup with a finish that lingers long after.

July 15, 2012 - Went v. well with b-b-q peaches and caramel sauce; not a flavor profile that speaks to me -- I want my dessert wines to have a lot more acidic bite than this -- but this is a hedonistic little thing that, as tonight demonstrated, can certainly hit the spot

July 8, 2012 - Burnished light caramel color. Quality, penetrating nose of nuts and creme brûlée. Palate is silky smooth, rich, lush, fabulous. My God it is truly awesome. 5-14-19-10: 98/100.

October 16, 2010 - Exceptional in every way, this may well remind you of old and rare Palo Cortados or Olorosos from Spain. Fantastic caramelized orange peel and toffee aromas and flavors. Rich and pure. Excellent with pumpkin pie, caramel desserts, or with a selection of aged cheeses. Highly, highly recommended and a steal for the price.
