May 1, 2019 - Jailbreak Wine Dinner - 08 Cristal, 16 PYCM Remilly and etc. (St. Anselm): Perfectly mature yet youthful CDP nose displaying ripe black fruit, blackberry liqueur, black cherry, cherry pie, fruitcake, strong tobacco, garrigue, dark spices, tapenade, a hint of lavender and earth. Fully integrated palate, layers upon layers of ripe black fruit, unctuous yet silky and polished, bright acidity, good mineral presence and a long concentrated black fruit driven finish with strong tobacco and garrigue at the end. Although very concentrated, it maintains the classic CDP profile without overdone.

December 16, 2018 - Good to drink but miles away from its reputation. Not worth the money

September 29, 2018 - Tasty, Rich, Better and Better for six hours.

    Much sediment and suspended particulate.

Great Bouquet. Missing something I thought in mid palate. Maybe Mourvèdre/the blend ? Or, indeed maybe me —Maybe no company? Will dutifully retaste with food and a friend.

Still a strong, fruity, wooly and wonderful nose at hour seven. Black fruits, in a dry forest of evergreens and berries. Hmmm—Something else like sage and also a clean fur/animal note— a good smell even cleaner than Labrador retriever— like a pony after a scrubbing and combing that has purple sage in a saddle bag...

Best flavors after reporting. But still I know something is missing here... retaste *ordered

A strong and tasty wine which deserves better company, and will get it, shortly.

    94*

(Le Clos du Caillou Châteauneuf-du-Pape Reserve le Clos du Caillou) tart red fruit and chlorine nose; rounded, lovely tart red fruit and oak with hints of balsamic and licorice; long finish (45% Grenache, 40% Mourvedre, 15% Syrah)
