December 9, 2022 - Excellent teenaged wine in all respects. Plenty of power but lots of acidity and well developed secondary notes. Seemed to want to shut down a touch toward the end of the bottle was the only knock on it.
May 31, 2016 - Just like the one earlier in the week, drinking nicely.
May 30, 2016 - A nice well balenced blend, didn't need long to open up. Drinking well but likely not much more time left.
September 10, 2011 - I love the Claret! Great value for the money.
January 15, 2011 - Poured and let sit in glasses for ~1 hour. Nose of blackberry and slight dust. On the palate there were flavors of sour cherry and tobacco with smooth tannins and a lasting finish. There's a bit of heat on the finish perhaps a bit too much for the fruit. This one is drinking well now, and is balanced enough to keep aging well.
December 31, 2010 - Really enjoyed this bottle.
March 12, 2010 - Black color. Weedy, new oak barrel aromas with some red currant peeking through. Lean, structure driven palate with red currant fruit that maintains the weedy element. Not my style. Very inexpensive Bordeaux-like in character.
