March 16, 2022 - Last of 3 and it aged beautifully, a testament to the longevity of WH Chards. In general found that the 2007's aged much better then the 2006's .

August 15, 2016 - Subsequent notes on this wine from over two years ago. Medium-light golden yellow in color. Forward, attractive & aromatic nose of developed & complex ripe fruit aromas of apples, pears, citrus notes of lemons/limes & stone fruits with overtones of floral notes of honeysuckle & minerals, flinty, wet stones, almonds, some butterscotch, spices, some toasty oak & a hint of vanilla in the background. Medium bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, developed & complex, crisp, ripe flavors of apples, grapefruit & citrus of lemons/limes with some butterscotch, spices, stony, minerals, toasty oak & a touch of vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present & may be at its peak of development, so drink up. It has aged quite well.

February 14, 2016 - full mouthfeeling, expressive nose. this wine is about power in a balanced way. nose is full of brown butter, almond, tropical fruits ( pineapple), brioche, honeyed citrus and spices. the taste is viscous, oaky, pretty aligned with the nose and a spicy finish. overall very good, maybe a bit too much (oak and spices)for my personal taste. the quakity is there, rather a question of style.

January 11, 2016 - yup on the nut and vanilla; sweet white peach; smooth mouth feel; more vanilla than i prefer, but well integrated, and the fruit and texture stand up to the oak.

October 11, 2015 - Darkening golden color, with pear and white fruits on the nose. The palate shows citrus, mineral, and sweet oak notes. A touch of herb adds to the interesting flavors. The finish is clean and compelling.

October 2, 2015 - Still holding up well.
    Golden color.
Interesting nose showing butter and oak.
This has developed some additional character since last bottle was consumed.

June 8, 2015 - Nice and soft with the requisite aCid to keep it alive. Slightly too high on the vanilla and oak but impressive for an 8 year old new world chard. The flavors are mostly nutty and vanilla. Very good for the price.

July 26, 2014 - Medium-light golden yellow in color. Forward, attractive, well developed and complex nose of ripe fruit aromas of apples & pears, citrus notes of lemons/limes & grapefruit with floral notes of honeysuckle, flinty, wet stones, some butterscotch notes, spices, minerals with toasty oak a bit of vanilla in the background. Medium-full bodied with a good concentration of mature & well developed, complex & balanced, smooth textured, ripe flavors of apples, grapefruit & citrus of lemons and limes with some butterscotch, spices, stony, minerals, toasty oak and a touch of vanilla. Long lingering crisp finish. Drinks quite well at present and is at the peak of its development although it does have the structure to hold onto this current plateau for another year or two at most but I doubt any further development would occur.
