August 10, 2010 - A left-over from last year. I feared that all the fruit had faded, but it was even better now than last year. With a massive acidic structure supporting the nice mature fruit. An exceptional rose, drinking perfect now.

July 1, 2009 - Excellent rosé, supreme nose of redcurrants, flowers and minerals. Very good, highly quaffable. Good finish. The only minor problem is that the acid isn't as structured as I would've preferred.

May 30, 2009 - nice bright pink color. Nose: strawberry, bit of floral and some yeast. Palate: tart(?cranberry), strawberry, watermelon, a bit sweet. Frizzante very obvious. good acidity. If one was thirsty on a hot afternoon and the wine was chilled it would be enjoyed, but otherwise uninspiring.

    May 21, 2009 - AVERAGE

Color is ruby red in the bottle, but gets significantly lighter in the glass. Nose is yeasty strawberry like a Strawberry Blond Ale. On the palate it's strawberry and watermelon with good acidity. The frizzante on this bottle, and others tasted, was so distracting making this a really good Bartles and James. After 15 minutes at room temp it falls apart, and bad. Bitterness sat in and only got worse as time went on. This wine was "good" for about 15-30 minutes, so drink quickly.

    12.8% EtOH

May 20, 2009 - Color is ruby red in the bottle, but gets significantly lighter in the glass. Nose is yeasty strawberry. Almost like a wheat beer with a lemon. On the palate I got some peach, but mostly strawberry and watermelon. But very bitter like a watermelon jolly rancher. Too bitter, and only got worse as time went on. This wine was "good" for about 15-30 minutes, so drink quickly.

May 20, 2009 - popped and poured, strawberries on the nose. Frizzante very tart strawberries on the palate. High acidity, fairly refreshing, but one dimensional.

Mrs. Coupe's comment was "tastes like a bitter White Zinfandel ...but not too bad"... I would give it more credit than that, it might not be too bad as a hot weather refresher, but not that great either...Maybe it was just not my style...

May 20, 2009 - Nose of strawberry & melon rind punctuated with floral and yeasty notes. The taste was bright and sweet, but dry at the same time with a definite Watermelon Jolly Rancher flavor profile. Had a lovely dry finish that had me thinking this would be an outstanding wine to drink lightly chilled on a sizzling day. Will likely buy this again as a light summer treat.

May 20, 2009 - Very light in color. VIBRANT strawberry, watermelon and a little mango on the nose. Loads of acidity but to me has some balance to it. It's been mentioned but I get the candied action as well on the palate. Nice lengthy finish.

May 20, 2009 - Very sulphurous nose. Slight frizzante. Bright ripe strawberry and a tinge of cherry upfront; modest finish. Modest acidity. Sulphur still present after 15 minutes, slightly bitterness left after the finish. What's in between the sulphur and the bitterness is v nice, but nothing special

After 30 minutes, this turned very very bitter and rotten-egg nasty.
