April 17, 2024 - Drank in Mar 2024.
Drinking well, not sure it will improve with further aging but will evolve on - still some fruit to lose and some tertiary notes to develop.
February 21, 2024 - Served to accompany pork casserole.
Opened, decanted and poured immediately, so left in the glass for 10 minutes to open up.
This is fresh and full of good blackcurrant fruit and forest floor. Very smooth and silky, well balanced and good structure. Starting to develop some typical Bordeaux earthiness. Excellent.
First tasted in 2018, I said then that this would easily keep 5 to 6 years and it's as good now as it's ever been. I'd say drink up, but probably still 2 or 3 years good life in it.
February 20, 2024 - Drinking well, lovely open bouquet and refreshing palate
February 4, 2024 - Old school, traditional Claret from Margaux. This is not a knock out bomb shel but is delicious. I might revise dining dates to before 2026
December 28, 2023 - Lovely fresh claret, crunchy redcurrant fruit, and a little bit of cedar. VGV
December 18, 2023 - Always very nice. Cool, reflects the vintage, but not green or austere. This bottle was particularly well fruited (my husband said it was like cherryade, but I think that's going too far).
November 30, 2023 - Dark centre, red rim, little sediment. Drinking beautifully three hours after opening. Grass and vanilla on the nose, smooth with tannin as you swallow, but the lingering impression is berry fruit. Balanced, elegant, classic. Lean.
November 25, 2023 - Niet lekker
3 uren op voorhand opengedaan
May 13, 2023 - This is drinking beautifully right now. I plan to accelerate my drinking to no through to 24. It will go longer but i doubt will get better
February 23, 2023 - Compared to my previous note depicting a surly wine, this has been transformed into a beautiful wine with Margaux berries in full bloom, revelatory.
