October 9, 2021 - This wine is so close to perfection, I wonder why I don't just give it 100 points. Lots of wow factors here with great mouthfeel, great aftertaste, great body and presence. Decanted for about 1.5 hours. What a great wine!

September 16, 2021 - First night, it was a big disappointment. Opened 3 hours and never blossomed. Second night it improved to 93.
But far less than I was expecting for

September 1, 2021 - Decanted over cocktails. Beautifully aged wine with well-integrated acid and firm tannins with a note of pure cassis that became more pronounced with air. I would recommend a two-hour decant to open this up and get the full experience as the palate was a bit muted and the finish abrupt initially.

August 22, 2021 - I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this wine. Pnp and drank over three days with a cork in the top at cellar temp. Hints of bricking. Dark cherry and berry fruits. A tar/dust note. Fine grained, nicely resolved tannins. Pleasing lingering finish. The blend really was reminiscent of the left bank Bordeaux bottles openened with it, though there was a touch more roundness to the fruit.

August 21, 2021 - Drinking fabulously right now. Decanted and drank over 4 hours. Was singing immediately. Agree with other that will probably not get better but no need to hurry either.

July 9, 2021 - near black purple red color, jammy black fruit nose, pepper, cocoa, on the palate quite tannic still at first- but with a scale and breadth of fruit keeping it in check, ferocious on the palate, deep rich fruit, long finish, distinct notes of black cherry and blackberry with time, this is definitely not like the Insignias of the 90s that I remember- but it is well balanced and a good companion to a robust entrée, for lovers of large scale wines that preserve much of their youthful vigor over the long term- this is a good way to go.

    ****, ready to drink

June 18, 2021 - This was a gorgeous wine. I think that it is at its peak and will not improve further. But still likely can plateau at this level for many years of enjoyment. Fantastic length across the palate. Tannins fully resolved. Black fruit. I normally wouldn't drink an Insignia this young but as I looked at the reviews it seemed it was time to try one. Was so glad I did. Paired amazingly with a dry aged rib-eye. This was one of the most "pretty" Insignias that I can recall.

June 4, 2021 - Aging well and completely open. With that stated, the ‘07 is still an enjoyable, and very ready Insignia. So much persona and pleasure, all enraptured in glorious fruit, and deft wine making. Cassis, blackberry, antique shop, tobacco and lead pencil. Layers of flavor and silky, still evident tannins. Aging very well and at its peak. Drink now - 2030.
