February 3, 2017 - Medium golden straw color, nose is expressive with low toned scents. Dense and deep aromatics, fresh apricot, melon, golden peach, lift, hints of grey slate and botrytis, very precise. Palate shows spatlese density and ripeness with surprisingly lively up front acidity. Fairly long finish, with palate cleansing acidity. Golden peaches and apple cores, theres an earthiness here, dried peach skins and ground peach pits with a touch of gravel/slate. Finish is a touch hot. Considering this clocks in at 11% theres enough stuffing here that an auslese could have been made. At least it tastes that way. Purchased upon release from distributor and stored accordingly. Enjoyed 55 – 65. Drinking window now – 10 years…Na zdrowie

August 18, 2011 - I had my first bottle last May, it was enjoyable, but nothing really stood out, perhaps it was too young. Another year has done some good, but I'm not overly impressed with this wine. I think the 07 vintage got a lot of press that wasn't perhaps entirely deserved. My 05s seem to be drinking miles ahead of these and it's not just the two years of bottle age - there's simply more to work with, especially on the fruit development side of the equation. In fairness, there's prolly some upside here, but marginal. Drink thru 2015, approx $24.

October 16, 2010 - This is just so-so for me - I suppose the price is modest so I shouldn't expect too much but for a Kabinett this comes off as a bit cloying and flabby - otherwise some nice peach and slightly bitter orange peel.

May 11, 2010 - Fresh and round, with the texture really coming to life with food and some air time. A fairly sweet Kabinett, this nonetheless has enough acidity to keep it clean and vibrant. Medium-bodied, drink thru 2015. Delicious now, but I prefer this style with food, not by itself. Approx $15.

February 21, 2010 - Bright, lighter golden color...very slight effervescence. Nose: peach liqueur and lychee with lemon oil, honeysuckle, and a little wet rock. Palate: intense candied peach/apricot and potpourri with light touches of more lychee, stone, and some green wood. Long finish. Could use a bit more acid to balance the noticeable RS. Delicious, though lacking complexity.

December 19, 2009 - Smells exactly like apricot nectar from a can. Complex palate of apricots, lichee, and pear, with a little spritz. Lingering, sweet finish. It is heavy on the palate and very sweet for a kabinett, but good acid keeps it from being too cloying. Racy, a little broad, overall a very enjoyable riesling at a decent (~$15) price point.

September 29, 2009 - Nice and pure fruit, that has a good amount of sweetness. For me its nice enough but kind of simple, with loads of tropical melon fruit and just a touch of citrus. Not much acidity or structure here. Good enough with a spicy dish for the price though, although not sure its one to seek out.
