February 9, 2014 - This is a solid Chinato. Not as bitter or as complex as some others but a broad spectrum of herbal and spice flavors that really work together. Sticky but nicely acid balanced. A very nice after dinner sip.

February 16, 2012 - This was our first Chinato experience, and I can say with certainty that we’ll be coming back for more. How inspired to unite the dark, tannic richness of nebbiolo with the herbal, medicinal elements that make cynar and campari so fascinating! This is a marvelous aperitif or off-the-wall after-dinner drink.

September 7, 2010 - Very complex. Great match of bitterness to grape sweetness; you can sip it without it becoming cloying or too bitter. Lots of baking spices, roasted black fruits, ground clove, and fresh fig. Extremely persistent on the palate. Also nice because it didn't noticeably decline in quality, even after being open for a couple weeks.

December 25, 2009 - Out of my entire family, I was the only person who enjoyed this. It's definitely an acquired taste. Very herbal. Lots of clove too. But I was impressed with the underlying wine. Nice body and structure. Too bad there wasn't anyone for me to drink it with!
