October 23, 2021 - Completely surprised by this. Bought about 10 years ago as a novelty as I am a Queensryche fan and the reviews weren't anything to write home about, but this was a damn good wine. Didn't take detailed notes as I took this to a poker night with some music enthusiasts who would get a kick out of this. Tannins were in check unlike the previous reviews ands the balance was spot on. Good fruit and a strong finish. Bravo Mr Tate!

December 2, 2015 - Finally approachable enough to drink. Still has rustic and stiff tannins, but at least you can taste the fruit. Drink now with a big slab of bbq.

February 25, 2011 - Decanted and drank over the course of 3+ hours. At first, got a very strong vanilla smell and taste. Afte awhile, the aroma was still pretty strong, but the taste was very nice with blackberries and bluelberries, with the vanilla complementing quite nicely. The nose eventually moved all into the dark berries as well. The finish definitely had tannins, whcih is to be expected for a wine so young. I hadn't expected to enjoy this much, but it really was a nice wine. I drank it because I hadn't expected it to last long, but I think this has the legs to go for quite some time, and it is probably best opened at least a year down the road.
