January 20, 2016 - Nez et bouche intéressants, le vin est mature, le cuir ou la brett ressort un peu. Commence à être fatigué je crois.

August 24, 2013 - As simple as can be. Dark, one dimensional fruit/tea that lasts 3-5 seconds, then shuts down. Not bad, but what's the point?

March 14, 2012 - Pure dark cherry jam on the nose. Mouth similar, good acidity, fresh and primary, middle weight. Elegant and smooth. Feels 'natural' - pure minerally fruit, no added complications. Delicious now and should last a while at this rate.

December 10, 2011 - A delicious, balanced Beaujolais with pure red fruit swirled with spice and floral notes and perfect acidity. Groceries.

(GEORGES DESCOMBES Morgon) Weekend/Champagne Dear Friends, A few weekend wines of note – all will arrive in a few days – please check OARS for pick up after April 1st. Have a great weekend everyone – - Jon Rimmerman *************************************** NV Moutard Champagne Brut “Grande Cuvee” 750ml - There are palates in Champagne that believe this is the single finest NV example in the range. That is quite subjective but there’s no doubt Moutard is trying to over-deliver with the Grande Cuvee. If you’re looking for a no-fuss example to enjoy ice cold this summer, this contender for best price/value wine in Champagne would be a welcome addition to your picnic or afternoon on the Sunday terrace. Compare at up to $40+: 2007 Georges Descombes Morgon - (This is not Duboeuf “Jean Descombes” Morgon – compare at $15-20+) This exceedingly complex wine is proof-positive that Burgundy need not cost a fortune to entice. Granted, this is Gamay Noir (not Pinot Noir), but the layers of delicate nuance and minerality are admirable. A steal of a deal – if we run out Wine Library has a parcel at $14.99-15.99: 2007 Filliatreau Saumur-Champigny “La Grande Vignolle” - If you have the patience to wait another year or so, this eccentric and intellectual example of Cabernet Franc has already started to evolve and it should emerge as something very interesting indeed. If you read the verbiage below, you will understand... Please give us your maximum number up to 12/each wine and we will allocate accordingly To order: niki@garagistewine.com All are set arrive shortly (please check OARS for local pick up After April 1st).
