August 1, 2021 - (Magnum) drinking nicely. No rush at all to drink. Mature merlot evident but the wine still has a good back bone and pleasant richness and sweet, dark blue and red fruit (a little reminder that it’s haut bailly).

January 11, 2021 - This was still called La Parde when i drank the last bottle. It's nice from a bottle, but is better from a magnum. Drink now and over next few years. Rob's comment dirnking alongside '06 gran vin: La parde more noticeable tannins but same taste profile.

Couleur rouge bordeau très dense.
Nez ouvert, vieux bois, goudron, tabac foncé.
En bouche, les notes boisées dominent, les tanins sont encore un peu carrés (malgré les 14 ans de garde). Confiture de bleuets, empyromatique. Persistance moyenne.
Pas dans ma palette mais bon je reconnais une fois de plus que je ne suis guère bordeaux... -

August 15, 2019 - Consistent with earlier notes. Perhaps a tad more chocolate dominant this time. In a great drinking window and if I had anymore, Id drink them sooner rather than later. Great value and it improved as the night wore on (just a shame it was consumed quite quickly)!! Must buy more.
