August 24, 2020 - Deep purple black color. Full bodied with a streak of acidity. Brooding bouquet of cassis and blackberry, and a touch of dust. Reminded me of a pauillac actually. Rich and Unctuous texture. Dark fruit and coffee/mocha, along with a subtle hint of menthol. Long finish and well balanced. Highly recommended.
April 25, 2020 - Fruit pudding with spice on nose. Well balanced. Medium to full bodied. Surprisingly, mid palate is lacking. Medium plus tannin, medium acid. Decent finish. I was expecting more of this.
April 24, 2020 - Very much a French style done with powerful mountain fruit. My first Dunn and from what I understand very much what their style. Having said that it was interesting on its own but actually more enjoyable with food.
French is not my bag baby, but this was pretty good.
April 23, 2020 - Absolutely beautiful aged Cali cab.....it is perfectly balanced with strong fruit remaining, great color and cab nose. The first 10 minutes has just a tad of pruney raisin on the nose but it leaves and there remains just a perfect aged Napa nose with briar and a hint of pine. Everything has receded and balanced out to leave you with a perfect 'food' wine much like the '05 Haut Bailly I had a few days ago. This will not suffice for those Cali cab fiends who just sit and sip. You must have food. Nice.......

March 22, 2020 - Decanted 90 minutes. Dark color. Much softer now than the last bottle I drank. This was my last bottle and so wanted to celebrate something during this crazy Coronavirus time. One of the few bright spots of the week. Very layered and structed wine. Excellent balance. Just what you come to expect from Dunn. Excellent bottle as usual.
March 11, 2020 - Still delicious with chocolate dessert
February 23, 2020 - Blue fruit and spice on the nose. Cool palate with blue and red fruit, white pepper, cedar. Great lingering finish.
February 8, 2020 - Totally together and drinking superdly. Nice mature wine with soft tannins and long finish. Who said Randy's wines will never reach maturity?
January 30, 2020 - PnP and into a decanter, on open coffee, menthol eucalyptus sour cherry, very BDXish, followed a over 2 hr transformation and then drank. Lovely dark color, inky texture. Blossomed nicely into more Napa with forest floor, red cherry, cranberry, some herbal notes. Still a bit of tannic structure hanging around, but oak has integrated fully. Needed more air to perform better. Try again in 2022 with 2+hrs air.
