March 27, 2021 - This has held up better than I expected. The nervous structure and alpine minerality persist, as well as the lemon-inflected acidity. Still seems youthful.

January 13, 2014 - Perfumed aromatics of floral, resin and something that comes across as dish soap - in a pleasant way. On the palate, really nicely balanced between fruit depth and a rounded, softened acidity. Teases toward off-dry. In a good spot right now. One bottle left - I'll have to hunt it down sometime soon.

April 25, 2013 - Now that's more like it (didn't enjoy the '06 as much). So fresh and energetic. Lots of white flowers, some citrus, nice balance of fruit, minerals and acidity. Outstanding wine; still buying despite the steady price rise.

December 1, 2012 - For whatever reasons, this wine did not impress me as it did others. Crisp (but not too acidic), with good minerality. I did not find it at all similar to a Chablis. All in all, a good, but great wine (at least for me). Served at cellar temp (55-60) and let it warm up through the bottle. Drank it over an hour or so. Seemed to pick up a bit toward the end -- maybe decant the next one or let it breathe?

December 23, 2010 - very much like a Chablis, a little different flavor profile. In between a good regular and Grand Cru Chablis. A little bit more round, less minerality than a Chablis.

NOSE: smoky; steely; expressive. I liked this a lot.

BODY: golden yellow color; clear; (forgot to note weight -- seem to recall it being about medium bodied)

TASTE: a bit spicy with a strong mineral-laden palate; 12% alc. is not noticeable at all; juicy acid; short finish of moderate intensity. Nice wine. bweimer's bottle.

March 16, 2010 - Still really great mountain wine. Nose of white flowers (jasmine?). Taste of delicious mountain rivers.
