December 16, 2022 - Whole group loved this wine, WOTN, elegant, lovely nose of blackberry, currants, dark cherry, spice, well integrated tannins, long finish. I went out immediately and bought the recent vintage.

July 31, 2020 - I have to say - this wine has gotten better over the past year. We decanted this for about 45 minutes prior to serving. The nose was mature - a bit of dark fruits but also showing some tertiary notes of leather, toasted coconut, eucalyptus, a some violet notes. The palate is rich, full bodied, and very delicious. The last time we had this wine I remember it being a little harsh around the edges with a bite of alcohol - but the time it spent in the decanter completely smoothed those edges out. No harsh bite. In a really good spot right now.

July 10, 2020 - PnP. Similar to February but a step even higher

February 15, 2020 - Wow has this done a 180 over the years. PnP. Nose is dark fruit with tobacco and toast. Palate has become a silky balance of fruit and secondary/tertiary components. Alcohol is now well integrated.

December 31, 2019 - I have always been a big fan of Dancing Hares - they make a nice Napa style Bordeaux blend and this is no exception here. I usually decanted this but decided to try it right out the bottle. The nose was expressive with lots of tertiary notes coming through - cigar box, leather, toast, and hints of raisins. The palate is rich, silky, but has a fair bit of bite from the alcohol. Good depth, easy drinking, and works really well with food/cheese. The finish is decent. We drank this by itself and it was very good. Lots of sediment on the bottom so be careful! Probably best to drink up the remainder of the bottles.
