June 28, 2017 - Bought 2 bottles back in 2011, consumed the first later that year. I wasn't very impressed then but, 6 years later this has blossomed very nicely.

Consumed over 2 days, note from day 2. Nose: Medium-plus expressiveness, dark fruit - black berry and cassis, black olives, licorice and a hint of eucalyptus. Palate: Medium-full bodied, tangy dark red and black fruit attack, plenty of acidic back-bone drives a spice driven mid-palate lift, sweet tobacco, soy, and earthy characteristics appear in the back-end. Finish: Medium-plus length dominated by spicy dark fruit and soy.

October 5, 2015 - This was a bold wine, that tasted great even in 2015. It was fruit forward, smooth, taste lingered just right, evident tasks of blackberry.

March 14, 2012 - Over two nights, delicious. I don't understand the uniformly lower scores on this wine although I will say the 2006 was better. Comparable: Willie McGee.

November 17, 2011 - Consumed over 2 days, note from day 2. Nose: Pretty tight, ripe blue fruit dominate with black fruit background, - with a good swirl a white pepper component appears. Palate: Medium bodied, very port like flavors, sweet caramel and chocolate flavors with red and dark fruit and a little spice kick towards the back-end - as interesting as that sounds it doesn't quite work for me - mostly because it comes across as a thin weak bodied port. I'm not sure what to make of it, but it was enjoyable.

November 6, 2011 - Garnet color with plum cassis and leather aromas. On the palate medium-bodied, fruity, angular with blackberry, and bittersweet chocolate flavors. Shortish finish.
