March 28, 2016 - What a nice showing for a 2nd wine. Cassis and blackberry, a light (nice) edge of bell pepper, some pencil shavings. Moderately framed, ready to go. B+/B
December 31, 2014 - Clear, light brick red, orange-brick rim. Clean nose, notable blackcurrant, cedar, coffee, vanilla. Medium-intensity palate, very well integrated, fine tannins, nice acidity. Medium length finish. Nice second wine, still drinking well, but I can't see it improving and I'd suggest drinking in the next two years.
December 23, 2011 - Excellent second wine! The nose is fabulous, intense and complex. Medium-bodied, well-balanced. Think this is at its best right now. Will certainly last at least 5 more years. Very good value

A well-made, unflashy St Julien.
Appearance: medium-plus garnet
Nose: Clean. showing iodine, floral notes, black fruit and timber
Palate: med-minus fruit and medium-light bodied. Furry tannin. Delicious savoury flavour. quite long and satisfying.
August 8, 2010 - Solid but still slightly disappointing. Classic cedar notes etc. Still a bargain
May 19, 2009 - Zu Beginn Pferdestall, braucht Belüftung, dann zunehmend fruchtiger.
November 30, 2008 - Nice and complex, drank with Lasagna. Could have been kept better and should have opened it earlier in the evening.
