March 25, 2022 - G2: Wines from Languedoc and Roussillon with some age (Skype): Wine 2 of 6. A blend of 40% Carignan, 30% Syrah, and Grenache 30%. Medium garnet colour, Undefined red and dark fruit, earthy notes, herbal notes, light feral notes, light tobacco, and spices, with lively acidity, slightly coarse tannin, and good length. Medium-bodied, with average concentration. A little rustic. The acidity becomes more pronounced as the wine breathes. More plummy and spicy, and more angular on day two. Best enjoyed with food. Drink now.

Completely integrated and toned down. This has the acidity to last for some time, so I suggest waiting a couple of years or decanting for a couple of hours.

Ends up sorta Spätburgunder on day two with far more typical chocolate and skunky aromas. I'll bet these have upside!
