January 6, 2010 - For all the ratings in the 80's for this wine, do you only drink jug wine?
"Simple" and "nothing special" is not better than average, it is a barely drinkable wine and has little character so it is below average.

November 5, 2009 - Simple, Value, Drinkable wine. a little strawberry with cherry on the nose. Has a nice amount of balance and fruit but fades on the finish. Trader Joe's a real value at $3.99

July 16, 2009 - I bought a bottle as a lark. Nothing special, but an enjoyable drink and so much better than I expected for the price.

June 16, 2009 - A very simple, straightforward and drinkable wine. Mild strawberry and cherry aromas on the nose. Perhaps limited aromatically. Really tasty on the initial attack (with a surprising amount of flavor), but fades extremely quickly and is gone in a flash (both the finish and the bottle). An intriguing play at $3.99.

May 17, 2009 - Very simple, but smooth and nice. Surprisingly true to form. The nose is the best part of this wine; if it tasted as good as it smelled, I'd have rated it much higher.

May 11, 2009 - Not a lot of complexity, pretty simple pinot but smooth, for the money it's a steal
