October 29, 2019 - Nice smell excellent taste
February 18, 2014 - Over the hill and barely drinkable. Burnt rubber and leather on the nose. Thin, short and tart on the palate. Passable with food but not fun to drink on its own.
Bought on Winebid but don't think storage was the problem. Bottle was in perfect condition and cork was only stained 1/8 inch up. I've liked other vintages of this so maybe this was just a bad bottle.
Next night this was much better with fruit showing on the nose and palate so maybe the wine is just in an awkward stage. Score upped from 79 to 85
December 1, 2013 - The wine looks Ruby colored. The legs are Medium. The body is Light/Medium. The wine has Smooth texture. The wine finishes Medium.
March 17, 2012 - Drink now, tannins have mellowed somewhat, still full bodied/flavour and nice QPR for $15 CDN.
January 15, 2012 - This bottle was off just a bit from previous bottle, never came together.
November 12, 2011 - Juicy raspberry, ganache, and spice. Not complex, but tasty. Paired really nicely with my cheese platter. A fun wine for $13.
November 3, 2011 - Well balanced and forward, drinking great right now.
August 11, 2011 - - Garnet color with fast forming legs and aromas of raspberry, black pepper and oak. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of raspberry, dusty and tobacco with a light/medium body. Silky texture with a short finish - Silky on the palate. Dry wine, with little finish. Great value. Slight pepper nose, raspberry fruit on the nose.
April 24, 2011 - Really beautiful nose of raspbery, truffle and garrigue with raspberry ganache and truffle on the palate. Slightly drying on the finish, which is the only thing that prevents this from scoring 90+. Screaming value at $15. I have a few more left and can't wait to see how they develop.
