February 18, 2024 - We had this with four other people with grilled lamb lollipops and everyone was impressed. It had a hint of orange color at the edges, otherwise a nice maroon. Blackberry and cherry on the palate, it complemented the lamb perfectly. It is time to drink it up however.

May 1, 2016 - In a great place, layers of cherries and plums and blackberries. Finishes with a hint of mint.

November 16, 2013 - Nice soft fruit, rich and very smooth, ready to drink. More about texture than power here, with a smooth medium size finish and well balanced. Liked this well made bottle.

November 15, 2013 - I'm a big fan of this wine. Tonight was one the more interesting tasting experiences. The descriptions below - built by the CT tasting note assistant are accurate yet only part of the story. I believe the wine is degrading in my cellar. The wine looks Crimson colored. The legs are Medium. It smells like Molasses, and Strawberry Jam. It tastes like Prune, and Molasses. The body is Medium/Full. The wine has Fleshy texture. The wine finishes Medium.

June 2, 2013 - Could have sworn this was pinot noir when first tasted. Light for grenache, but rich in berry taste and nose.

April 26, 2013 - Much better than the last bottle which was probably corked. Bright fruit and very smooth. I agree that this wine should be consumed now as further improvement is unlikely. If you like grenache this is an excellent wine.

February 9, 2013 - This bottle was tired. Not corked just over the hill. My past experiences with this wine have been most favorable so I was disappointed when this bottle did not perform. I have one bottle of the 06 left and will drink it shortly. Time to buy more Le Corbeau from more recent vintages.

June 2, 2012 - Rich, supple, velvety.... all around great wine. The nose draws you in with bright red fruits against herbal spices and black pepper. The mouth is consistent with the nose, and just as rich, offering more warm red fruits, tobacco, anise and spice.... it coats the mouth and lingers, leaving you wanting more... I'm still thinking about it days later. A few bottles will be returning with us when we visit the winery again later this summer.

March 9, 2012 - A rich deep flavor raspberry jam first, with a thick subtle following taste hint of tobacco, and pepper, some minerals. Very nice drink 92. Sarah loves this stuff likes the fruit elements raspberry and says it's a 98.

August 14, 2011 - Outstanding wine. It was served at a White House dinner with barbegue-rubbed Black Angus beef.
