May 22, 2022 - Best bottle yet. Starting to be ready. Classic softened Pauillac with great cassis nose and flavour. Good levels of concentration. Best after 2 hour decant.

May 6, 2022 - Graphite, hints of leather, black fruit. Loved the nose! In the mouth - whilst good, was also a bit underwhelming. Think this could do with 5 years more at least. I like GPL and have quite a stash of various vintages, but PLL/Lynch Bages it is not.

April 30, 2022 - Very dark red/purple color. Opened about an hour before pouring. Siggy and Jennie's bottle. Drank a couple glasses over an hour plus. Now these are really beginning to show nicely. I've found the '95 GPL to have been showing generally well, especially for a '95, but this appears to be coming into it's own now. With minimal air, this was a giving classically styled Pauillac off the bat. Pretty dark fruits, more subtle potpourri, pencil and leather notes abound. This is full bodied, with some scorched earth and tannins that are slightly austere. Really nice with our steaks at Tado, pre-show for George Thorogood.

January 11, 2022 - Classic Pauillac! Deep garnet color, clear. Big nose upfront with tobacco, earth, dark cherry and currants, leather....keeps going. The palate is more of the same with some wet gravel and the earthiness fading into wild mushrooms. Sift tannins and acidity are still carrying this forward another 5-8 years. Long enjoyable finish. Happy to have another 10 bottles.

December 4, 2021 - PnP. Beautiful nose, so Pauillac and Latour-ish like. Tobacco, leather, and oyster shells. Vibrant acidity with some tannins still hanging around, firm mid-palate. Good complexity and long finish. Burnt cigarettes with touch of oaks lingering on forever. Similar to last year’s bottle, excellent showing today. Ready and will last for years.

November 15, 2021 - Nose of red currants, leather, and tobacco leaf. Palate shows layers of red currant, tart red cherry, and gravel followed by a rush of acidity and silty earth. Tobacco, dried currant, and wet stones on the finish with long, smooth, resolved tannins, clay, earth, and a touch of oak at the very end. Peak drinking!

November 12, 2021 - Getting the gang together @ Wus (plus birthdays!) (Wu's Wonton King): Another '95 in the line-up and also drinking quite nicely. It's classic older Bordeaux. More library.

October 23, 2021 - Incredible for a 26 year old wine. Rich, powerful, and strong structure showing this still has years left.

September 25, 2021 - Ruby/brick color. Earthy aromas of leather, forest floor. Cranberry, orange peel with cherry on the finish but it does fade.
