October 18, 2023 - This is just a nice rustic old Sonoma cab. Herbal, bell pepper, blackberry, violets and turned topsoil. Old school in many ways. This bottle was hair oxidative, but good overall.

November 6, 2022 - 35 years young and still singing. The age was well defined but the color was somehow miraculously light purple — no major bricking or signs of fading. Good depth of flavor, savory and fruity, with a long finish. This bottle lasted for at least two hours, not fading fast like some other older bottles. Superb.

September 10, 2022 - Nose: Raspberry, briar, blueberry and wild herbs. Perfumed and full with floral and herb notes leading. Palate: enters with high pitched acidity, bell pepper, blueberry and raspberry preserves. Lots of rose petal, loam, cedar and sage. Complex inner mouth perfume, vivid flavors and well balanced wine. 13.2% abv. Delightful.

The Sonoma mountain sites have started to grow in popularity with lovers of classical styles. 50% Cabernet, 35% Cab Franc and 15% Merlot on this beauty. The trend towards high Cab Franc blends is coming back today, and the wines are not hard as nails on release. An absolute time capsule for a top Sonoma site for cabernet blends.

November 28, 2021 - The nose has some muted bouquet, tar, plum fruit and earth. On the palate, it shows fading sweet plum fruit that is supported by moderate acidity. It is feminine and elegant. Clearly on a downtrend but still enjoyable. Drink up.

November 1, 2021 - Still drinking well. Shared with Joel Peterson who noted the vineyard characteristics still alive in the wine.
