March 13, 2017 - It's been over a year since my last note on this, and it has improved. The tobacco has been joined by leather, and both the menthol and oak have abated just a bit - a change which augments the dark fruit perfectly. There's no trace of tannin at all anymore, and the acidity has dropped a hair, making this an exquisitely easy drinking wine. Excellent from entry to a nice long finish.

December 25, 2016 - Showed very well at 21 years old out of magnum. Jammy fruit in the nose with hints of tobacco and floral. Currants, black cherries, and blackberries in the flavor. Very smooth medium to long finish. Impressive.

June 19, 2016 - Drank last night along side some amazing wines. This is a beautiful, elegant, plush Cabernet which is at a wonderful place after 21 years.
Red and black fruits, spice, leather, with a silky mouth feel and a long finish.

January 31, 2016 - Love the classic aromas of dark fruit with tobacco, a little smoke, and a hint of menthol..... but of course I would because I love Arrowood. The fruit is a little dialed down compared to the '01 RS, but any note of wood is either gone or so well integrated it only enhances the nose. The palate is completely in sync with the nose and the tannins are imperceptible with just a wee bit of tartness from the acidity. Old school at it's best with a looooong finish and silky mouth feel. Down to 5 bottles left from the case. There's no reason to hold it any longer as it's reached a wonderful spot being completely resolved.

October 11, 2015 - Lots of fruit still present, and well integrated. Still dark red in color, with perhaps I slight hint of brown. Very enjoyable wine. Wish I had more bottles!
