March 31, 2017 - The last of a case. Quite a bit of bricking at this stage. Washed out maroon. Looks like an aged barolo. Best to drink them up now. Still juicy dark sweet cherry. Really kicking off a ton sediment. A bit soft due to medium low acid.
February 7, 2014 - The wine looks crimson colored with brick hue. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like very ripe red fruit, cranberry, strawberry and vanilla. It tastes like cranberry, raspberry, strawberry jam, vanilla, coconut, black olive and garrigue. The body is light/medium. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.
May 30, 2012 - Nose initially is quite hot, alcoholic without a lot of compelling aromatics. Flavor profile is better as it is lighter than the nose would indicate. Pretty well balanced with anise albeit short finish.
February 3, 2012 - This just gets better, probably my all time favorite QPR. Perfect quaffer with secondary notes of earth showing, too bad they be gone shortly.
November 20, 2011 - Always enjoy this wine. Great fruit
October 27, 2011 - This was a random buy that I'll have to look for more of. Very nice multilayered bottle, with great fruit and a little tobacco and touch of spice. Nice lingering fnish.
July 3, 2011 - Excellent grenache for the $15 price point. Bright red fruits with a little tang on the finish. Went great with grilled chicken and veggies.
June 4, 2011 - A little air helps, rock solid.
May 13, 2011 - Nice QPR
April 24, 2011 - Continues to be a great wine for the price. A bit alcoholic on day 1, but settled down by day 3.
