September 12, 2023 - Second of a 3 bottle lot and very consistent with my 2/23 TN. Impressive and youthful, in a great drinking window off the pour and over 3 nights. Taking my window in by 2 years, but while this is drinking brilliantly now, it appears likely to stay strong for several more. 95-96 if scoring

February 10, 2023 - First of 3 ($64@) from an auction lot about a year ago after I was despairing finding them at a sub $100 price I was willing to pay. Consistent with prior 2 bottles and continuing to drinking with truly impressive power and youthfulness. Pretty much singing off the pour, superb with food (mixed grill one night, deep dish pizza another) and without. Charter member of the Tuscan rockstar $75-ish IGT, BDX division, club with Grattamaco, Sammarco and Tua Rita Giusto Notri. Will shine for years to come. I echo Acove’s last sentence. Solid 96

November 12, 2022 - Decanted off sediment and gave about 30mins of air. On the nose dried blackberry, cassis, star anise, cedar, some vanilla, and a hint of pyrazine. Classic dusty midpalate with luscious soft secondary fruits like blackberry, then a refreshing and balanced finish of medium - acid and medium + and some pyrazine. Such a fantastic wine in the prime of its drinking window, and considering I got this for $65 I am extremely happy. I would say drink this within the next 5 years so you don't miss out, but right now its drinking great with a bit of air. Buy this if you see it (unless you live around me, in which case don't buy it, it sucks).

August 17, 2022 - Surprisingly young wine: deep red color, fruit driven nose, remarkable tannins in the long finish. 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet and 10% Petit Verdot, no Sangiovese. Wonderful dark and red berries, blackberries, black currant, wonderful secondary aromas like vanilla, espresso, cola. Harmonious finish with polished but still strong tannins, nice acidity. All well balancedand elegant. A pleasure wine with some more years ahead.
