January 18, 2019 - I regretably did not get recommended nose and body. Very disappointed for price point.

May 20, 2017 - Dinner at our house w Ed, Beth, Chris and Stephanie. Decanted 2 bottles for 2+ hours before serving. Paired with main course, braised short ribs, brussels sprouts and roasted red peppers.

From prior notes: "Deep purple/ruby core color. Expressive nose of dark fruits, savory, minerals and burnt sugar. Palate of dark berries, mushrooms, truffle, savory, espresso and some vanilla on the finish. Slightly sweet though the mid palate. Medium/full weight and medium finish. Soft texture, from the Merlot content."

Mostly consistent, this performed much better with the longer decant. The texture was softened and second characteristics really showed nicely. Picked up more earth notes and some smoke with this bottle. Drinking very well right now, this wine is in a really good spot, likely at it's best over next 3-5 years.

May 12, 2017 - Delicious wine that evolved well over two hours in the decanter. Soft but focused fruit, licorice and cassis, at first unbalanced oak but that integrated over time. The acid came out after two hours, adding a nice dimension. Very enjoyable.
