March 30, 2024 - Fruit has mostly gone and showing past it's prime for sure. Balance is a bit off too, but still tastes good. Will need to drink our last bottle sooner rather than later.
March 4, 2019 - Still drinking quite well. Did not notice the fruit fading as I did last bottle. Very enjoyable with leftover steak.
September 2, 2018 - Agree with Polarbear22. Even though the wine seems to be sliding, it was very enjoyable! I didn't take specific notes, sorry but at this point in my life, I just enjoy what's in front of me!
August 19, 2018 - Fruit may be starting to fade a little, but this is still a great wine. I have loved the 2005 Cabs from Wellington. I will target them to drink up. Hate to have them be less than everything.
February 21, 2016 - Almost four years later, still magnificent. Bright spicy nose, notes of cedar and earth on the tongue, as well as a lot of rich fruit. Sorry I don't have more. :-(
January 4, 2015 - A little better than the last bottle over a year and a half ago. It is probably at its peak right now. If I had more I'd drink it very soon.
May 25, 2014 - Had this at Avant in Buellton - while not the best match with our meal it was delicious. Herbs, leaves, core of red fruit, and plenty of goodness coming out over time. If only I'd known when this was up on wine.woot I'd have maxed out.
December 26, 2013 - Nice dark color. Decanted about 45 minutes. Kept opening up. Some nice dark fruit and good acidity.
July 14, 2013 - Dark ruby color. Black cherry, raspberry, currant. Still noticeable oak with a cedary tone. Medium-full bodied. Very good.
May 22, 2013 - Bought this wine almost exactly four years ago. I still like it, but this bottle had a great deal of sediment. Drank the wine over three days and it was still quite good on that third day. Nice body, medium finish, excellent with grilled steak. I did not decant this bottle, but I should have filtered it.
