September 7, 2015 - wine of the day for everyone. lol at all the silly reviews saying this is shot. yes it's oxidative but i believe that's purposeful, and very enjoyable on our palates around here. this was mistaken as aged 1er and grand cru burgundy, or napa chard by most in attendance.

simply a great bottle, really shining right now. and a bargain at $40.

September 6, 2015 - Yellow and heavy in the glass. Nose of melon, pit fruit, vanilla, citrus (pineapple), chamomile, white tea, toffee and marmalade. Full body and giving with buttery oil, pineapple, white peach, grapefruit, tangerine, Asian spice, tea, wet grass, toffee and citrus blossom on the palate. Mouthwatering and intriguing. Med-long finish. The best of white Burgundy, Bordeaux and Loire in one bottle.

February 9, 2014 - Tasted blind. Clear, medium gold in color, with significant viscosity. The nose is clean, medium in intensity and developed (+), with aromas of lemon, honey, hazelnut and graham cracker. The palate is dry, with medium (+) acidity and medium (+) alcohol at 14.8%. The mouthfeel is smooth and rich. It exhibits a nice minerality. It is medium (+) bodied, well balanced, with medium flavor intensity and a moderately long finish. It is ready to drink and perhaps even past its prime, as it quite oxidized on the palate. In fact, I would have guessed it was a sherry. I am not sure what food I would pair this with, and frankly I would not hold it any longer. Alas, at $45 - $73.00 retail, I just don't see the point.
