June 23, 2023 - Peranakan food at Linda’s Table (Linda’s Table Private Dining): Impressions. Nice bouquet of red fruits mixed with dried fruits, palate mostly raisin, dry fruits, heats on the finish. Nose is much better compared to the palate.

July 25, 2022 - cheers - very good, but clearly past its prime. Lots of alcohol present, bottle opened well after 30 minutes. Would definitely not hold overnight.

November 29, 2020 - Party at Wimborne. Drank in Grassl Cru
Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose medium intensity, with aromas of dried plums, raisins, blackberry, dark red cherry, black tea leaves, oxidative caramel and herb. Developed.
On the palate, dry, medium acidity, high alcohol (15%), resolved high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of cocoa powder, dried plums, raisins, spice, sweet tea leaves, caramel, autumnal earth. Very long finish (redeeming factor).
Good quality aged Amarone. Clearly time to drink up.

    February 9, 2020 - Elegant. Smooth. Medicinal

November 25, 2016 - Deep garnet yellowish rim. Aroma of dark chocolate, blackcurrant liquer, prune, concentrated plum juice, sweet spices, black tea. Medium body, low acidity, some noticeable ripe tannins but almost resolved, round and high alcohol with good concentration. On palate more medicinal, liquorice, English tea flavours noted. Getting to peak, may improve for 2-3 years further. Fair length and complexity. Elegant expression now for a once robust wine.
