October 28, 2023 - Colour still remarkably deep, nose fresh and open with real depth and mature autumn leaves, wet soil and a touch of iodine. Palate is beautifully balanced, not as intense as a premier division producer but lovely finesse and flavour. Tannins are resolved but continue to give an attractive frame. Overall this bottle was in excellent condition and if the remaining handful are at this level there is much to look forward to.

November 14, 2021 - Bought with a bottle of Pitures for £140 the pair from recently opened the cases. Allowed to rest for a couple of months. The nose is more restrained and complex with undergrowth, raspberry, blackcurrant and redcurrants and finally anise.Tannins similarly resolved and still there to provide good structure. Lighter bodied than Pitures yet with more obvious length. Both seem to be at the perfect age to drink now. Pitures bigger bodied, Caillerets finer and better balanced. Both excellent.

November 10, 2019 - Colour still deep, fabulous bouquet, quite tannic and a touch of reduction but lovely density of the vintage. Palate has super silky tannins and the most lovely full fleshy fruit. This has taken ages to mature but is now in a super place. Feels as if it will hold but tuck in if you have some in the cellar.

December 15, 2014 - Vibrant fruit, quite piercing and punchy, evolving but not softening, tart bitter finish. Drink now to cut through heavy dense meat, or leave for 5+ yrs
