September 12, 2020 - I really enjoyed this overall as both aromatics and flavor profile offered up so much pleasure and complexity. An earthy cherry spice scent with good ripe red fruit flavors and a nice structure with good long finish. Complete and while young offers up a ton of pleasure.

January 11, 2019 - Echezeaux Extravaganza: Quite a bit denser than the 2007 Rouget. A big wine with lots of stuffing but I found it lacked a bit of balance and freshness which is often how I find many 2006s at this point. Optimists will say this will go on to bigger better things in another decade or so.

November 22, 2016 - Too young, but what a spectacular wine. In ten years, this glory will be hallelujah. Exquisite winemaking the currant, cherry, blueberry merge with African spices and with aromatics of fuchsia and sweet pea flowers. Perfectly balanced with mouth filling delight, but awaiting the textures and nuances to reveal themselves. You know they are there luring you to wait and smiling for your return.

March 15, 2013 - Wonderful aromatics of cherry, blueberry, spice, earth, and coffee followed by mouth filling volume and a rich smooth, integrated finish.

September 9, 2009 - Some Musignys with Friends (Chicago IL): Consistent notes with the bottle had 4 days ago, except tonight I prefered the regular Rouget bottling to the Georges Jayer. Bright cherry and raspberry, feminine spice, refreshing acidity. Either way you go, both are beautiful wines; it just depends if you want more oak influence or not.
