November 28, 2022 - Lots of foam. More like a beer. Fruity nose with some yeast. Simple but pleasant, low acid red and purple berry fruit on the palate. I would categorize it as fairly dry for a sparkling. Fruity but not sweet.

A beautiful magnum of Philippe Bornard’s PetNat. Yeasty, with red berries, rhubarb, kvas, cranberry jam, and lots of residual sweetness in the bouquet. Super light, only 8.5% abv, and I’m in love.

Magnum party at BWFM / 1 June 2018

July 20, 2017 - Love this fun and delicious wine but alas this is my last bottle for this year. Nose was all red fruit, some funk and yeast. Fresh red fruits, light-moderate sweetness, with some earth, and mint coming out as it sat. Refreshing! at 8.5% alcohol. Like a fizzy alcoholic soda (but less sweet).

June 13, 2017 - Cap closure, tasted over 2 hrs
-cloudy light pink/burnt orange, foamy head more like beer than Champagne
    -slightly funky fresh rhubarb herb
-med- acidity though the bubbles give some lift, med- weight simple pleasant faintly herbal fruit, refreshing, the RS is barely perceptible
-fun and very funky unique, like drinking a barrel sample while still fermenting

    April 7, 2017 - A foxy wine from Poulsard.

    Colour: Red brownish, muddy.

Bouquet: Opens a bit dirty, yeast, strawberry jam and candy.

Palate: Juicy, "funky", strawberry, yeast. The acidity upholds its berry-like profile and its structure. Discrete sweetness w. cherries, stone and spices.

    Wow.

February 6, 2017 - Hard to categorize, but definitely fun and enjoyable. Agree with others that this has a sweet currant and foamy quality at first, but shifts to accentuate its acid balance and woodsy/flowery additional flavors.

July 23, 2014 - Lessrofs in F-bo: Light-red appearance with browning/bricking nuances and rosé foam. Developing nose with small forest berries, blood orange, wet stones and light funkiness. Refreshing taste with maturing flavours, slight blood orange bitterness and a discrete residual sweetness (perhaps 15-20 grams). Nose slightly better than palate. Goose-liver/mousiness appears after 15-20 minutes, but before that, it's an uncomplicated joy and fun to drink, and a special treat. Make sure to seek out the latest vintage!

August 10, 2013 - Very fizzy, but not quite fully bubbly like a sparkling wine. Cloudy orange-red, with yeast sediment. Very barnyard-funky. Our bottle still had some residual sugar (was not fully dry). Main flavor was strawberry, but the funk and a moderate level of bitterness were too overpowering. Will not buy again.

July 12, 2013 - Portland: The city of Rosés! (E&R Wine Shop, Portland OR): Wild, feral aromas. Smells poppy. Pretty funky, wild flavors on the palate. I really love the interesting blend of sweet fruit and odd "natural wine" funkiness. Intense funk on the finish as well. Fantastic, lush and tart finish, with an odd bitterness. Very unique and different. Brought a bottle home to drink this night.
