October 30, 2018 - Last bottle, long forgotten in the cellar. Figured it would be bear and has zero quality expectations. Popped and direct poured. Quite pleasant. First impression is that it is quite light-bodied. Rich color. Low nose. Non-descrip red berry, say cranberry koolade, and that is not meant to disparage the wine. Drinks like a petite sirah. I might better characterize the American palette as like a very light zinfandel with a faint anise spice accent. Tannins are mature and evened out. Interesting bottle. This might cruise for years, properly cellared, before diving. Not fabulous wine, but a decent wine for personal quaffing with snacks, which stood up for a surprisingly long time.

November 6, 2016 - Has held up remarkably well. Clean, soft but not flabby, with black fruit and some dried cherry flavors plus baking spices. Went really well with paella. I'm glad I bought a case and have one left (will not wait too long to drink.)

June 14, 2014 - Pretty mediocre representative of the varietal.

April 14, 2013 - Well past it's prime. Ran it through the Venturi about 10 times to make it palatable. Decanted 2 hours after that. Still had a very musty aroma. It was funky!!! Once it got past the nose it was acceptable to drink. It had a nice smokey finish but didn't leave a lasting impression.

January 8, 2013 - This bottle was definitely past its prime even though the one I had only a month before appeared a little past its prime.
