February 11, 2015 - Lively and quite fresh, perhaps surprisingly. Plenty of sweet cherry fruit. Nice acidity. Ripe supple tannin. Maybe still some distance ahead of it after all.

November 15, 2014 - Deep color. Lifted cherry notes, fresh and intense with some dusty earthiness / chalk. Vibrant fruit attack, lively acidity through the mid palate. Not a huge amount of grip and slightly short finish. Drinking well now.

August 22, 2013 - Earthy, violet, cherry notes. Some menthol. Leafy/stalky, almost cab franc in style. Ripe cherry flavours. Juicy. Still a good whack of tannin in what is a fairly robust structure. Sultana fruit on the finish. Long.

January 30, 2012 - Really enjoyable wine, balanced fruit and acidity, lovely accompaniment to a Mediterranean fish stew.

September 5, 2011 - Well, this was disappointing.
The label a said to serve with Mediterranean food, but this turned out to be Americanized, over ripe, over-oaked,
and generally characterless party wine. Lots of dark fruit. Yah!

September 1, 2011 - Sour cherries, blackcurrant, somewhat menthol. Floral, violets. Still a lot of oak present, and a bit of a monster, but beginning to drink well. Certainly a very good 'Supertuscan' at a great price.

March 3, 2011 - Have a feeling that I drank this too early and its best is yet to come. Very deep purpley colour. Nose very aromatic, lots of fresh and slightly perfumed raisin fruit. But also very woody. Bit of a tannic monster with some heat from the alcohol coming through the finish. But there's still a shed load of fruit in there and very lively acidity. Look forward to trying this again in a couple of years maybe.

September 25, 2010 - Deep purple with some red on the rim, nose full of fruit berriers and little minty freshness, long and smooth on the palate: cassis flavous come through, but undertones of cedar and spice. Little hot on finish maybe but overal good balance with nice acidity. Tannins could do with few years to settle down. Looking fwd to see how this develops.
