  December 31, 2017 - From an excellent looking bottle, this wine had a deep yellow center and clear rims. The medium+ instensity nose is impressive. It displayed creme brûlée, citrus, white stone, and apples.
  
  In the mouth, This wine had a pretty big hole in it. It was also pretty lean. As it aired, the wine filled out and became more integrated and less lean. However, it also developed an edge of bitterness that held it back from a higher score. After even more time, the bitterness disappeared and the flavors became more like the nose, which is to say pretty darn nice.
  
  This will easily last for 5-10 years. However, it seems unlikely that this wine will improve. However, it does need 4+ hours of air before you start drinking.

  December 8, 2016 - Holiday Dinner - Champ, Burg, Bordeaux, Rhone and etc. (The Grill Room at Rosewood DC): Wonderful fully mature nose, sweet yellow fruit, butter scotch, a hint of honey and butter scotch, botrytis and smoke. Fully mature palate, medium to low acidity, strange bitterness that clips the finish. Mid 90s nose but mid to high 80s palate. I need to open another bottle soon.
