    October 19, 2019 - Last bottle of this, now “old” chard...It was a pleasant surprise, while clearly tasting and looking its 12 years of age, i.e. rather nutty and darker golden color. Nicely paired with some truffle goat cheese. Fruit mostly apricot and citrus. Lots of secondary, darker florals, herbs and nuts. Clearly past its prime but enjoyable nonetheless.

    December 22, 2018 - This wine walks a fine line between modern Cali chard and a more restrained ripe old world style. It definitely has that buttery and oaky character yet is well balanced and easy to drink with typical chard qualities that dominate with oaky, cream, lemon and butter. Really well balanced, bright and fresh tasting but it needs some time to breathe. It has had enough acidity to last over a decade quite successfully and showed no sign of oxidation.

    February 19, 2018 - No doubt past its prime, but still a very good wine. You can sense that this was probably exceptional in its prime - so much complexity remains. Pineapple and vanilla dominate, and there are also hints of lemon and honey in the mix. Lacks energy and freshness, but still with decent grip and a nice, fruity finish. 91 -92

    December 16, 2016 - We should have drunk this one several years back. That said, once it opened up, it was really good but I am sure would have been even better had we drunk it a few years ago.

    May 18, 2014 - Mid yellow; nose somewhat closed, some brioche; soft, bold, rich, creamy, buttery, good balancing acidity, a bit punchy rather than soft and mellow (perhaps a notch too much); nice lingering aftertaste, straightforward, rich, non-complex, very likeable, very nice
