December 15, 2019 - December Guy's Dinner (Our Farm in NJ): Brought by Garth to the “Guy’s dinner”, then PnP on his arrival. Lovely golden yellow color, showing little to no oxidation for a 12 year old Chard. Really good depth and complexity here while clearly of the Cali Chard style it has good acidity and balance with creamy lemon curd, minerals, peach and buttered toast notes but layered and in control in all dimensions. While not normally my favorite style this is well executed and quite delicious, showing as fresh and lively despite its age.
February 27, 2016 - Keeps improving with age!!! PNP into a decanter then served.
February 10, 2016 - At a grant writing meeting with Garth. Liquid oaky goodness. Great structure and gravitas.
June 28, 2015 - Good but perhaps a little over the top.
November 11, 2014 - This is tasting amazing. I cannot imagine it getting much better. Simply stunning. I'm gonna save a few bottles but drink the rest.
April 7, 2014 - Needs a good decant
April 27, 2012 - On the young side.... I can only imagine it will get better in a few years... This is in the beter Peter Michael & Kongsgaard category of Chardonnnay's... Glad I have a case left :-)
December 29, 2011 - Beautiful wine. Strong nose of roasted pineapple, toasted hazelnut, and vanilla. Palate of roasted pineapple, pear, and vanilla. Lovely long finish with good acidity.
