December 1, 2014 - Shared magnum for Thanksgiving with traditional roast turkey & sides. Aged nicely, possibly because of larger size. Paired well & enjoyed by all.

November 18, 2012 - Great Pinot, not as woodsy as a Burgundy but still very, very good in nose and flavor. Stawberries and light spice notes. Perfectly integrated oak.

May 20, 2011 - Got this bottle from the Russian River Valley winery's tasting room for $50 and drank with steamed corned beef and cabbage & carrots.
The bouquet on this wine reveals a CLASSIC Central California nose; perfect amounts of spice (pepper), oak, and earth.
Flavor-wise, this is a fantastic, well-balanced New World Pinot. It pours fairly light, suggesting one's about to enjoy a fantastic Burgundy. The gorgeous fruit and spices are immediately upfront; red fruits (red and sour cherries, raspberries, and strawberries), along with spices (white pepper and herbaceous spices like rosemarry and sage) are followed mid-palate by a perfect amount of oak and plenty of dirt/earth/terrior (I'm guessing that these grapes came from the Santa Maria area judging from the wine's structure and "herbally" character). The finish is smooth and elegant, where the sweetness from the oak imparts a creamy, perfectly structured ending to a wonderful Pinot. Based on the wine's acidity and structure, this wine will probably continue to age and mature beautifully for another 10+ years.
Our only quibble with this wine was the price paid at the tasting room. If this was priced around $30 to $40, I would have scored this wine a 93 or so. As all things in life, everything's relative. At $50, this wine isn't cheap, but it sure is tasty! Well done Twomey. You obviously have a VERY good source for Central Cali Pinot grapes......

March 1, 2010 - Very good, had with grouper and pecan sauce. All the great Pinot qualities were present.

July 1, 2009 - Sonoma-Napa Trip Day 6 (RRV and DCV): Sweet strawberry nose. Translucent light appearance. Rich central coast pinot fruit -tangy strawberry. Pretty good. Not especially complex.
