January 20, 2022 - Dark red smooth medium body wine. Nose offered a bit of fig fruit. Wine delivered a mouthful of plum, black cherry and blueberry fruit with a hint of molasses. Very nice finish. My business club's wine steward said "wow" when he had a sip.

December 4, 2021 - I'm a bit out of my comfort zone with Sangiovese but still enjoyed this bottle though I would not classify this as an elite wine - and certainly not at current release prices. The wine had a nice red brick color, showing it's age gracefully. Nose was a bit soft at first - some menthol, evolving into baking spices, ripe cherry and cinnamon, all very pleasant. The wine definitely benefited from a bit of air because the second glass (hour+ later) exhibited some rounder, fruitier notes that integrated all the elements a bit better. Last glass was even better. Medium acidity (which is always my thing with Tuscans - bit too much for me). Enjoyable, likely won't rush out to buy more though.

October 14, 2021 - Super bottle of wine! Deep dark red full body wine (13.5%). Nice nose but a wonderful melody of Bing cherry, plum and blue berries. Very long finish.

December 24, 2020 - Plenty of spicy, peppery fruit. Lovely rounded mouthfeel and more supple tannins than on the prior bottle I tried 2 years ago. Still a big wine and needs some aeration. Ageing well.

December 24, 2019 - Softer than expected otherwise very enjoyable now. Both nose and palate improved quite a bit after 2 hours.

December 9, 2018 - Had side by side with the regular Brunello and quite frankly, I couldn't tell much of a difference. But on the other hand I wasn't in top form by the time this came around.

December 8, 2018 - Big and bossy. Dark fruits, lots of exotic spices. Chunky tannin, and needs aeration/time.

August 25, 2018 - Kirsebær, moreller, treverk, litt krydder. Bra fylde og lengde. Mangler litt kompleksitet.
