  December 10, 2011 - Really nice syrah. Opened bottle, poured off a glass and let sit for 2 hours. Nose of dark fruits, meat and spice. Palate had a rich blue and black fruit profile that was perfectly balanced by the acidity that gave it an elegant mouthfeel. My first Mike Smith syrah and I am a fan.

  July 16, 2011 - Nose was delicious with fruit. I didn't have the chance to decant as we shared this wonderful nectar with family over a dinner. It was a special occasion and this was a special bottle of wine. Everyone said it was the wine of the night! Deep color and fantastic balance. I bet a 94 was possible with a little hour of decanting.
